Abigail's Party
, which will open on March 8th, centres on Beverly, played by Jill Halfpenny and her husband Laurence (Andy Nyman) who host a party for their neighbours. With plenty of booze on offer as well as an array of savoury nibbles, and Demis Roussos on the record player, but as the evening progresses, prejudices are unmasked and tempers flare with the night heading in one direction.....disaster!

Nyman returns to the Menier Chocolate Factory after his recent stint in Terrible Advice. The actress, who first found fame on TV programmes Hollyoaks and Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps, is currently starring as Pauline in Legally Blonde The Musical at the Savoy Theatre, the role that Jill Halfpenny originated in the Olivier Award-winning musical.

Ex- EastEnder Joe Absolom will make his west end stage debut in the play as Tony. Best known for his long-running role as Matthew Rose in the BBC soap opera, he has also appeared on the small screen in in Doc Martin, New Tricks and Ashes To Ashes.

Pride And Prejudice actress Susannah Harker returns to the London stage after appearing in last year's Little Platoons at the Bush theatre. The BAFTA-nominated actress is best known for her screen work such as House Of Cards, Young James Herriot and Perfect Parents.
Abigail's Party begins its run at the Menier Chocolate Factory on March 8th after the current production Pippin closes on 25th February.
